Save the Date: The D&AD Impact Awards return this September

In its inaugural year, the D&AD Impact Awards sought to shine a light on the power of creativity to impact the way the world works: commercially, socially, culturally, environmentally and politically. Created out of partnership between Advertising Week and D&AD, the awards initiative recognizes creative work – including campaigns, business initiatives, products and community projects with commercial and social impact within 12 categories.

The first ever D&AD Impact Awards amassed over 600 Impact entries, awarded 87 winners, gathered 1,200 ceremony attendees and brought 60+ expert judges together from a variety of industry cornerstones to deliberate and vote for the winners of the black, white, graphite and wood pencil awards.

To conclude the ceremonies, Grammy Award-winning artist, Sting, gave an intimate performance to award winners and invited guests to continue the celebration of socially impactful work in the industry.

In what’s anticipated to top the inaugural event in both size, participation and reach, the second edition of the D&AD Impact Awards will return to Advertising Week New York on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. In its second year, Advertising Week and D&AD hope to continue to educate, facilitate and celebrate creativity that makes a difference by inspiring agencies to win awards not for awards sake, but to positively affect the way the world works.
