Katie Vanneck-Smith is Chief Customer Officer and Global Managing Director, International, for Dow Jones, a position she has held since September 2014.

As head of the Customer Group, Ms. Vanneck-Smith is responsible for the commercial performance of Dow Jones’ consumer and corporate brands, services and products. These include The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones Media Group and Professional Information Business.

As global managing director, she oversees customer engagement, acquisition and retention worldwide and is also responsible for Dow Jones’s businesses operating outside of the US.

Prior to joining Dow Jones, Ms. Vanneck-Smith spent seven years as Chief Marketing Officer for News UK, where she oversaw the bringing together of the digital and direct businesses of Customer Direct with the sales and marketing of News UK’s three title brands: The Sun, The Times and The Sunday Times. She previously served as Sales & Marketing Director for the Times, and Managing Director of News UK’s Customer Direct group. Before joining News UK, she held the roles of Sales & Marketing Director and Marketing Director at The Daily Telegraph.

Ms. Vanneck-Smith sits on the UK-based Digital Media Advisory Board and is a member of Marketing Group of Great Britain and Women in Advertising and Communications.

She was recognised as Pioneer of the Year at the 2016 British Media Awards. Katie is also a Mentor with The Marketing Academy and has completed the Academy’s CMO Fellowship Programme.

Ms. Vanneck-Smith graduated with a Masters degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford, St Hugh’s College. She lives in New York with her husband and son.

Puja Vohra serves executive vice president of marketing and digital for truTV. In this role, she is responsible for the development and execution of truTV marketing, creative and digital strategies, as well as creating and implementing innovative campaigns to expand the truTV brand and promote the network to the consumer and trade, both off-air and online with shows like Impractical Jokers, Adam Ruins Everything and Billy on the Street.
Vohra joined truTV in March 2014 after serving as senior vice president of marketing at Oxygen Media, where she managed the network’s consumer marketing and ad-sales teams. During her time at Oxygen, she created new advertiser partnerships and enhanced existing ones with companies like Johnson & Johnson, Pepsi, AT&T and TJ Maxx. In addition, Vohra led Oxygen's digital and social marketing initiatives, increasing the network's online presence and engagement significantly.
She also previously had ad sales marketing and consumer marketing roles at Bravo Media, making a splash with the network's first "Affluencers" trade campaign as well as several other successful show launches including Project Runway and Top Chef.
In addition to her job duties, Vohra serves as a mentor for PromaxBDA International and has worked with the South Asian Women's Leadership Forum. In 2011, she was honored as one of CableFAX Magazine named her among the Most Influential Minorities in Cable. And in 2013, she won a Next Generation Leaders Award from the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC). Most recently, she was honored as a 2016 Broadcasting & Cable Digital All-Star. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and 8 year old daughter Mira. In addition, von Schoeler handles the creation of authentic premium content integrations for top brands.

Prior to joining BVE in 2001, von Schoeler worked for BBC Worldwide Americas, Inc. overseeing consumer products production and marketing for numerous popular shows, including Absolutely Fabulous. Her experience also includes serving as Manager for Golden Books Family Entertainment, where she worked on children’s classics such as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman. In addition, she was Manager of Business Affairs at Discovery Communications, Inc. She is a graduate of Vassar College.
