Amy Purdy grew up with a passion for snowboarding which led her to a bronze medal at the 2014 Paralympic Games in Sochi. As a young girl, she dreamed of traveling the world…and despite obstacles that perhaps should have stopped her dead in her tracks that passion carried her not only to the upper echelons of sport but onto the dance floor of Hollywood and well beyond.
Purdy is a NY Times best-selling author, she has toured with Oprah Winfrey, she has been featured in a Super Bowl commercial and earlier this year she released her own clothing line.
During the Opening Ceremony of the Rio Paralympic Games, Purdy was the featured soloist dancer in a performance that was seen by 300 million people around the world. She is currently training to return to the 2018 Winter Paralympic Games in Korea.
