Chris Ficarra is the Executive Vice President of Integrated Marketing for Viacom Velocity within the company’s Global Entertainment Group. In this role, Ficarra is charged with partnering with the creative teams at Velocity – Viacom’s branded content studio – to elevate creativity and innovation in the delivery of custom campaigns across linear, digital, mobile and social platforms. Ficarra leads these efforts for MTV, Comedy Central, VH1, Paramount Network, Logo, TV Land and CMT properties.
Previously, Ficarra was the Senior Vice President of Integrated Marketing, where he was responsible for overseeing the creation and execution of sponsor integration strategies for Comedy Central and Spike. He also previously served as Vice President of Integrated Marketing for VH1 and Director of Integrated Marketing at VH1, where he developed multi-platform marketing concepts for the network’s key advertising partners.
Before joining Viacom in 2003, Ficarra held positions at Vivendi Universal/Universal Music Group where he served as General Manager of RollingStone.com as well as Vice President, Sales Marketing & Operations at GetMusic.com and Director, Sales Marketing & Operations at Farmclub.com. Prior to that, Ficarra held various positions at the National Basketball Association (NBA) most recently as Manager, Global Marketing & Media. He started his media career at True North Media Inc. as a research analyst.
Ficarra graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
