As VP of Experience Marketing at Adobe, Alex Amado is responsible for creating and delivering compelling experiences that reflect Adobe’s brand (recently ranked the 68th most valuable global brand by Interbrand). He leads a team of artists, writers, coders, media experts, and event planners, as well as a small number of world-class agencies – all dedicated to the principle that Adobe’s brand is built through great customer experiences.
Alex has been with Adobe since 2005, and before that he led Marketing Operations for Macromedia, helping them to apply the best practices of integrated marketing. Alex currently serves on the UX Committee for the Ad Council and the Board of Advisors for the Academy of Art University.
In the past few years, work created under Alex’s direction has won over 200 awards, including Effie, D&AD, Cannes Cyber Lion, Addy, AICP, Webby, W3, One Show, IMA, Ted “Ads Worth Spreading”, Omni, Communicator, Festival of Media, GDUSA, Jay Chiat and Communication Arts awards.
Alex holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with top academic honors. He also holds a bachelors degree from the University of California at Berkeley. He lives with his wife and son in Oakland, California.
