Grammy Award winners, Hip-Hop Legends & Best New Artists: The Evening Talent Lineup at #AWNewYork

The marketing industry is among the most unique in the business world. It’s a space where work and entertainment can coexist, and where creativity flows from a multitude of unique markets and specialties, each vastly different than the next. It also provides the perfect setting to host a week of intense thought leadership that ends each night with captivating performances by some of the biggest talent in the entertainment industry.

From the opening gala to the wrap party, the Advertising Week 2016 evening performances are as unique and diverse in their nature as the collection of daytime seminars and sessions.

To kick off the week, attendees will attend the Spotify Opening Gig at Playstation Theater beginning at 8:00 p.m. De La Soul, an American hip-hop trio famed for their success in the 80s and 90s, will open the evening concert. Later, DNCE, who quickly rose to fame with their unmissable summer-hit “Cake by the Ocean,” will take the stage. The band recently won in the Best New Artist category at MTV’s 2016 Video Music Awards and was previously on tour with Selena Gomez as the opening act for her Revival Tour earlier this year.

Bing Live! will take over Webster Hall at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday for an evening of unique performances to top off a day of thought leadership. Common, a Grammy and Golden Globe Award winning hip-hop artist, will head the evening’s entertainment. While Common’s credentials include everything from actor and producer to author and poet, his songs like “Glory” from the Oscar nominated film “Selma” have made him one of the most recognizable names in the music industry.

Finally, to close out the week, The Advertising Week Wrap Party, presented by Nucleus and music powered by Vevo, will take over Webster Hall beginning at 8:30 p.m. Musical performances will include The Roots, a longtime, legendary hip-hop neo-soul group most newly recognized as the official house band for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
