Build Your Brand with Drew Barrymore at Advertising Week 2016

You may best recognize her as the little girl who befriended a friendly alien, or as the forgetful Hawaiian sweetheart opposite Adam Sandler in 50 First Dates, but in the time since helping E.T. find his way home, Drew Barrymore has added entrepreneur, business-woman, author, mother and more to the list of accomplishments – and she’s just getting started.

Barrymore most recently embarked on her newest business endeavor -- Flower Beauty -- a line of cosmetics, bags and fragrances with a very fitting philosophy. Flower seeks to provide the quality products consumers want, and deserve, while remaining organic in their production and distribution. All products are made in the U.S.A. and are never tested on animals, the way of thinking that falls in line with a very particular audience of brand followers.

But like so many others diving into the industry during an age of all things digital, Barrymore had to learn a thing or two about building a brand, and cultivating a loyal consumer base, while dealing with a population of consumers who are spending more time on mobile than any other screen.

So how does a brand stand out on small screen in a really big way?

During Advertising Week 2016, Barrymore will join Harry Kargman, CEO of Kargo on stage for the “Building a Brand in a Mobile-First World” session to discuss those hot-button topics, and more. Barrymore will speak to the art of building a loyal consumer base, while Kargman provides insight for how getting creative can change the game of capturing the attention of fast-scrolling consumers.

The session will run Tuesday, September 27 at 3:00 p.m. on the Times Center Stage. Chanel Vice Chairman Arie L. Kopelman will moderate.
