When Advertising Week began in 2003 it was built around the core pillars of industry education, leadership, diversity and entertainment. 15 years later that still holds true.
Growing from just a few thousand to nearly 100,000 attendees, 1,200 speakers, and 290 events packed into 4 days, each year we are proud to return and host discussions of real issues that are top of mind for the industry.
Over 15 years there have been some truly special moments; From Grammy Award winning artist, Sting’s, headline performance to conclude D&AD’s Impact awards in 2016, to Arianna Huffington gracing the stage to espouse the need for a serious cultural shift in the work environment that prioritizes rest for employees. Yes, she meant sleep.
As we edge towards Advertising Week New York 2018, October 1-4, much is left to be revealed for the stage, including the iconic venues that will host entertainment by night.
But perhaps as importantly, we see this anniversary as an opportunity to further deepen relationships with industry trade bodies, media companies, partners and everyone in between who make this great industry hum.
Here’s to another 15 years.
