#SeeHer: Marketers Lead Positive Change

The Association of National Advertisers (ANA)'s #SeeHer is raising awareness of unconscious bias by leading an industry movement for accurate portrayal of women and girls in advertising and media. 40% of women do not identify with the women they see in advertisements, yet make 80+% of all consumer purchase decisions. The goal of the initiative is that by 2020, the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote, women and girls will see themselves reflected in media as they truly are. ANA’s Alliance for Family Entertainment (AFE)’s Gender Equality Measure (GEM™) will help marketers’ measure progress.
